This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others.

This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability. The job roles that relate to this qualification may also include RTO Manager and RTO Director.

This course is open to the local students with relevant work experience (refer to the entry requirements below) who wish to extend their career in organisational learning and capability development with skills and ability to develop and evaluate complex business ideas and initiate, design, develop and execute major learning and development initiatives within the organisation.

Minimum age to enrol in this qualification is 24 years.

Domestic students will be permanent residents or Australian citizens from a range of countries living in Australia.

As a graduate you will be equipped to progress to a variety of roles including:

  • General manager human resources
  • Director, workforce planning and development
  • Manager, learning and change management
  • Manager, learning and development.
  • RTO Manager
  • RTO Director
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Credit transfer into Postgraduate Degree at Universities

Residency Status and Minimum Age to Enroll:

Australian citizens / Permanent Residents aged 24 years or above

Academic Requirements:

Successful completion of Year 12/VCE or equivalent; or other relevant school qualification/s

Entry Requirements:

Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in related fields of study and 2 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience as a leader and manager in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability.

Note: Vocational experience must be in either organisational learning or capability development with a proven ability to:

– develop and evaluate complex business ideas

– initiate, design, develop and execute major learning and development initiatives within the organisation

OR

-Have completed a Bachelor degree (at AQF Level 7) in related fields of study and 1 year equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience as a leader and manager in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability.

OR

Have five years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at managerial level in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

The RTO will determine the support needs of individual students prior to enrolment in order to provide access to relevant educational and support services necessary for the learner to meet the requirements of this qualification taking into account their individual needs, existing skills, knowledge and experience.

LLN assessment will be conducted at the time of enrolment. Every enrolling student must attain LLN competency at ACSF level 4.

A pre-training interview will be conducted before confirming the enrolment to verify student needs identified through the PTR form and LLN assessment. Support will be provided considering all needs identified.

Total of 8 units are required to attain BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) (Release 1) qualification. Unit of competencies included in the qualification are listed below.

Core:

  • BSBHRM613: Contribute to the development of learning and development strategies
  • BSBLDR811: Lead strategic transformation
  • TAELED803: Implement improved learning practice

Elective:

  • BSBFIN801: Lead financial strategy development
  • BSBINS603: Initiate and lead applied research
  • BSBLDR812: Develop and cultivate collaborative partnerships and relationships
  • BSBSTR801: Lead innovative thinking and practice
  • BSBHRM611: Contribute to organisational performance development

The RTO reserves the right to change the elective units within this training as required.

Following assessment methods are used to assess performance knowledge and skills of students:

A Knowledge Questions (to assess performance knowledge)

B Project Portfolio (to assess performance skills)

Upon successful completion of all the required units of this course, you will receive a nationally recognized qualification in BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning). Students who do not complete all required units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of a BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning).

The costs for this course are as follows:

  • Total fee payable: AUD $12,000
  • Enrolment fee: AUD $200 (non-refundable to be paid on application)
  • Course fees: AUD $11,800 (includes non-refundable material fee of $300)

  • We will assess your documents along with the information provided in the pre-training review form. We will assess your LLN skills as well to determine if you have any specific learning needs.
  • Complete an enrolment form and submit required documentation.
  • We will review your application. If you meet all the course entry requirements, we will let you know and will send you an invoice for fee payment (first instalment).
  • The first day of each course will include orientation and induction. Orientation will include information about the course, our support services and methods for achieving success throughout the course, including progress and attendance requirements.
