This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. These individuals may have supervisory performance accountabilities. 

Individuals in these roles carry out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks that require self-development skills. They use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

This course is open to the local students who wish to pursue their career in business with specialization in Big Data. The course is designed for students to learn how to transform complicated data into useful business solutions. With the help of this nationally acclaimed course, students will be able to assess massive data sets, spot trends, and offer suggestions that will help companies expand and maintain their competitiveness. 

Working with transactional and non-transactional data, interpreting big data, and reporting findings to support decision-making are all skills you will acquire. This certification provides doors to a variety of jobs as the need for big data expertise grows across industries. 

Minimum age to enrol in this qualification is 18 years.  

Domestic students will be permanent residents or Australian citizens from a range of countries living in Australia.

Successful completion of Year 12/QCE or equivalent; or other relevant school qualification/s  

Entry to this qualification:
There is no entry requirements for this course. 

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. 

The RTO will determine the support needs of individual students prior to enrolment in order to provide access to relevant educational and support services necessary for the learner to meet the requirements of this qualification taking into account their individual needs, existing skills, knowledge and experience.  

LLND assessment will be conducted at the time of enrolment. Every enrolling student must attain LLND competency at ACSF level 3. A pre-training interview will be conducted before confirming the enrolment to verify student needs identified through the PTR form and LLND assessment. Support will be provided considering all needs identified.

Total of 12 units are required to attain BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business qualification.

Following assessment methods are used to assess performance knowledge and skills of students: 

A Knowledge Questions (to assess performance knowledge) 

B Project Portfolio (to assess performance skills)

Upon successful completion of all the required units of this course, you will receive a nationally recognized qualification in BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business. Students who do not complete all required units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of a BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business. 

The costs for this course are as follows: 

  • Total fee payable: AUD $4,000 
  • Enrolment fee: AUD $200 (non-refundable to be paid on application) 
  • Course fees: AUD $3,800 (includes non-refundable material fee of $300) 
  • Non-tuition fees: May apply and can be found in our Student Handbook. 

Course fees do not include laptops or software listed under resource requirements.

  • We will assess your documents along with the information provided in the pre-training review form. We will assess your LLND skills as well to determine if you have any specific learning needs.

  • We will review your application. If you meet all the course entry requirements, we will let you know and will send you an invoice for fee payment (first instalment). 
  • The first day of each course will include orientation and induction. Orientation will include information about the course, our support services and methods for achieving success throughout the course, including progress and attendance requirements.
